His performance style ranges from Jazz Standards to Latin Pop tunes. Christian has been part of the NSW Cabaret circuit for many years and is the founder and lead singer of the multi-award winning "Salsa Kingz Band".

His charismatic personality coupled with his natural showmanship skills provides him the unique ability to engage audiences from all walks of life both as a “performer” and as “Master of Ceremonies”.

Biography:

​

 Christian Guerrero has been passionate about showbusiness from a very young age when together with his sisters, they would sing and dance at many family events. By the age of 10, Christian was already developing his craft on stage as a young Latin folklore dancer. 

​

Christian eventually discovered his passion for live music when he joined the high-school brass band in 1986. The following year he joined his first Rock band, but it wasn't until 1990 where he landed his first gig with a local Latin band as a guitarist & trumpet player. This was his first professional experience with a working Latin band, "Piña Colada". At 16 years of age, Christian was forever hooked with his newfound passion. It was "love at first sight". The experience of working with musicians twice his age would pave the foundations for what would become Christian's musical career.

In 1991 Christian went on to join the Sydney based Latin band Sonora Galaxia. This is where Christian would call home for 11 years, staying on as a trumpet player, trombonist and eventually gravitating to backing-vocals, MC, and lead vocals. By the time Christian was 19, he was invited to lead the band, becoming the youngest musical director in the band's history. During his time with Sonora Galaxia, he would travel and perform on stages all over Australia including The Millennium NYE 2000 Concert at The Sydney Opera House and also the closing ceremony afterparty of the Sydney 2000 Olympics (at The Sydney Domain).

In 2001 Christian was headhunted to join the NSW Club Cabaret circuit under the Sydney based agency Six Pak Productions Pty. Ltd. His experience as a cabaret singer would eventually catapult him to the Frontman & Showman that he is today. During his time as a cabaret singer, he performed a string of successful productions shows at venues all over Australia and the Pacific Islands.

 

In 2004 Christian officially launched his own band the Salsa Kingz®, with the aim of creating a more commercial and versatile showband. In 2008 Christian & Salsa Kingz started making waves in the industry and took nominations for "best showband" in 2008, 2009, 2010, & 2011. It wasn't until 2014 & 2015 when they finally won the "Australian Club Entertainment AWARDS" for "BEST SHOWBAND" two years in a row.

​

When the music stopped during the Lockdowns of 2020, Christian made an improv announcement and a commitment to keep entertaining fans at home through a brand-new initiative: It was his very own Facebook LIVESTREAM made in the style of a late-night TV show. The show went LIVE and aired at the beginning of the Sydney Lockdowns at 8PM on a Saturday night, 28th March 2020. It ran for 10 consecutive weeks with many fans tuning in week after week until the lockdowns eased on the 1st June 2020.

 

In 2021 during the second lockdowns, Christian & his sister Lilian kept audiences entertained once again with a second interactive TV show this time called VIVA EL LUNES. This time audiences could chat & interact LIVE via the NEW chat system directly to their TV hosts. They would say hello and request their favourite songs LIVE on air. The weekly Monday night show was met with great reviews and won many adoring fans once again.

Today, Christian is coming back with a BRAND-NEW SHOW to a stage near you. He hopes to inspire audiences from all walks of life to experience the magic & passion of Latin music.
