Biography:

The Retro Kingz Band is part of the multi-award-winning SALSA KINGZ show-band, proudly representing Latin music down under. From their pioneering days as Sonora Galaxia, they have collectively entertained audiences for over three decades. In 2004 they rebranded and launched Salsa Kingz® as a Latin-pop-band in order to inspire a wider range of music lovers. What sets the Salsa Kingz apart is their strong showmanship skills and their unique ability to seamlessly perform hits both in English and Spanish.

The band was formed by the founding band leader: Christian Guerrero, who is no stranger to the Latin scene. He was a former musician & band leader of the renowned "Sonora Galaxia" Band (in service between 1991-2002), extensively performing at many iconic venues including the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics in 2000. They have worked alongside many famous artists, such as the legendary Trombonist Jimmy Bosch from the USA, Jose Feliciano, Nicola Di Bari, Vanessa Amorosi, Jimmy Barnes, John Paul Young, Denni Hines, Savage Garden just to name a few.

In 2008 Salsa Kingz started making waves in the industry and was nominated for best show band in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. In 2014 & 2015 Salsa Kingz won the "ACE AWARDS" for BEST SHOW BAND two years in a row.

Retro Kingz Band is part of the multi award-winning Salsa Kingz® -They have successfully combined popular 80's tunes with classic Aussie anthems. This adds a unique recipe to their performances, a combination that has propelled them as one of the most successful Latin bands in Australia. Their shows usually consist of a fun-packed Salsa Dance lesson that has truly become their flagship style. Their ability to engage audiences and wow the crowd are second to none, making them a real party favourite down under.

Their music not only include 80's covers, but also a wide range of party Pop tunes.
