Christian Guerrero was born in 1974 in Sydney Australia, raised by his Latino parents who migrated from Chile 1971. His passion for show business started at the early age of 5 when he would play the family vinyl collection as a child DJ.
Christian's first experience in showbiz started at the age of 10 where he began his connection with the stage as a junior traditional Chilean & Mexican folkloric dancer. He later developed his passion for live music when he joined the school brass band as a trombonist in 1986. The following year he went on to join his first Rock band as guitarist in 1987. During this time he fell in love with the sounds of Latin Tropical music and wasn't long before he joined his first working Latin band "Piña Colada" in 1990.
One year later in 1991 he went on to join his dream band Sonora Galaxia where he stayed as musical director for the next 11 years. During this time Christian would travel and perform on stages all over Australia including the Millennium Opera House NYE Concert and the closing party of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
In 2001 Christian joins the NSW Club Cabaret circuit performing hits from Ricky Martin in clubs all over Australia and the Pacific. In 2004 Christian officially launches his brand new band: the Salsa Kingz®, with the aim of expanding Latin tropical music uniquely fusing Latin & English tunes with Aussie culture.
In 2007 Sonora Galaxia was acquired by Christian Guerrero T/A Salsa Kingz ®. In 2008 Salsa Kingz started making waves in the industry and was nominated for best show band in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. It wasn't until 2014 & 2015 where Salsa Kingz finally won the "ACE AWARDS" for BEST SHOW BAND two years in a row.
