Christian Guerrero is a Latin American/Aussie entertainer renowned for his showmanship skills and bilingual musical repertoire. Christian has been entertaining audiences from the age of 10 where he began his connection with the stage as a Chilean folkloric dancer.
He later developed his passion for live music when he joined the local brass band in 1986. The following year he went on to join his first Rock band in 1987. During this time he fell in love with the sounds of Latin music and it wasn't long before he landed his first working Latin band gig with "Piña Colada" in 1990.
One year later in 1991 he went on to join his dream band Sonora Galaxia where he stayed on as musical director for the next 11 years. During this time Christian would travel and perform on stages all over Australia including the Millennium Opera House NYE Concert and the closing party of the Sydney 2000 Olympics (Sydney Domain).
In 2001 Christian joined the NSW Club Cabaret circuit performing hits from Ricky Martin at venues all over Australia and the Pacific. In 2004 Christian officially launched his own band the Salsa Kingz®, with the aim of expanding Latin music to both Latin & English audiences.
In 2008 Christian & Salsa Kingz started making waves in the industry and were nominated for best show band in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. It wasn't until 2014 & 2015 where they finally won the "Australian Club Entertainment AWARDS" for BEST SHOW BAND two years in a row.
During the Australian Lockdowns of 2020, Christian & the Salsa Kingz® made an improv announcement and a commitment to keep entertaining all their fans through a brand new LIVESTREAM SHOW called: "The Salsa Kingz LIVE SHOW". "Everyone was stuck at home and the fear was real". Despite the uncertainty of the times, Christian went out and started a Facebook LIVE TV show which first aired at the beginning of the Sydney Lockdowns on Saturday 28th March 2020. It ran successfully for 10 consecutive weeks until the lockdowns eased on the 1st June 2020.
In 2021 during the second lockdowns, brother and sister Christian & Lilian kept audiences entertained once again with a second interactive TV show VIVA EL LUNES were audiences could chat LIVE to the hosts and request their favourite songs LIVE on air. It was met with great reviews and won many adoring fans.
This year Christian kicks off his long awaited solo career that spans over 30years in the making. His performance style ranges from Jazz Standards to the latest Rock and Pop tunes, however his true passion still lies within the Latin music realm, which has made him the entertainer he is today.
Christian hopes to inspire audiences from all walks of life to experience the magic of Latin music. Over the years Christian has become a true icon in his community and an ambassador for Latin music down under.
